Transnet is inviting unemployed South African youth, qualifying TVET College students and engineering students to apply for its Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2026/2027.

The programme provides practical workplace exposure, mentorship and on-the-job learning to help students apply their academic knowledge in a professional environment.

1. Work Integrated Non-Technical Learner

Locations: Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Kimberley

This stream is aimed at TVET College students who have completed their theoretical studies and require workplace exposure.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Matric or equivalent.
• Completed N4–N6 theoretical subjects at a TVET College.
• Studies in Human Resources or Financial Management.
• South African citizenship.
• Be between 18 and 35 years old.
• No bursary obligation with another company.

• BEng Tech or S4–S5 qualification level as specified.
• Completed all required theoretical coursework in a relevant engineering discipline.
• South African citizenship.
• Be between 18 and 35 years old.
• No bursary obligation with another company.
• A recent confirmation letter from their institution where required.
