REQUIREMENTS : ABET or basic education.
No experience is needed. Job-related knowledge includes repairing and maintaining fences, patrolling roads, firefighting, identifying signs of animal disease, and animal tracking. Job-related skills include basic numeracy and basic literacy. Willingness to work overtime and on weekends. Exposure to wild animals and extreme weather conditions.
DUTIES : Repair broken parts and replace stolen sections of fence.
Remove trees, weeds, and tall grass along the fence. Patrol roads and apply herbicides as needed. Maintain and repair patrol roads and drainage ditches. Fight and prevent fires along the fence. Stop the spread of trans–boundary animal diseases. Do daily patrols and inspections of the disease control fence for breaks. Quarantine any illegal animals. Safely dispose of carcasses found along the fence. Do daily patrols of the gates on the disease control fences. Care for quarantined livestock. Maintain and protect departmental assets and supplies. Safeguard fencing materials and equipment. Keep fencing equipment in good condition. Clean the storeroom and office. Wash the departmental car. Report any unwanted activities in the boundary area. Work with the local community, farmers, and security team. Provide regular feedback to the supervisor. Immediately report any illegal animal movement or signs of disease to the supervisor. Report any illegal activities not related to animals to the security team.
