REQUIREMENTS : Must have a Grade 10 or equivalent qualification as recognized by SAQA.
A valid driver‘s license and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP) are required. You should have knowledge of how to operate a motor vehicle, follow prescripts for using motor vehicles, maintain vehicles properly, perform messenger duties, and carry out routine office tasks like registration services and making photocopies. You must also know the city area where you will be working.
DUTIES : Carry out general messenger and delivery duties.
Sort and organize correspondence in the registry. Collect submissions and other documents from the assigned office. Provide driving services, including driving light and medium vehicles, to transport passengers. Perform routine maintenance on the vehicle you are assigned. Sort mail, files, documents, and parcels. Provide delivery services. Make sure items to collect are properly sealed and addressed. Deliver mail, files, documents, and parcels to the right people. Deliver submissions between offices. Ensure that the person receiving the item signs in the delivery book or register. Record what you deliver and the address in the delivery book or register. Do general office assistant tasks such as making copies, faxing, and shredding documents. Provide support with administrative tasks when needed. Help maintain the security of the office. Support activities related to the registry. Support operator–related tasks.
