REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
No work experience is needed. All shortlisted people will do a practical test before being considered for the job. This test will check if they are suitable for the job based on the needed skills and knowledge. Required knowledge and skills include: clerical work, data collection, computer use, and record keeping. They should know how to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. They should understand basic office administration and the legal and public service laws. They should also know how to work in the court environment, including HAST program and record management, and understand Batho Pele principles. Communication skills (both speaking and writing) are needed, as well as problem–solving, customer service, monitoring, analysis, planning, organizing, and report writing skills. Typing abilities are also required.
DUTIES: Collect and enter data from documents into the correct formats, like databases or spreadsheets.
Check for missing or wrong information and fix any problems. Help prepare court records and schedule cases before court starts. Record court sessions properly. Provide general administrative support, save and scan court documents, report any IT issues to a supervisor, give information to relevant departments, check and ensure data quality, sort and share incoming data equally, and update registers and statistics.
