REQUIREMENTS: You need a National Senior Certificate, Grade 12, or Standard 10.
You should have 1 to 2 years of experience working as a supervisor in a cleaning environment. You must be good at working with people – easy to talk to and approachable. You need to be highly organized and good at managing and coordinating people and their tasks. You must have a high level of integrity because you may be responsible for handling people’s personal belongings. You should be able to make good decisions. You must be able and willing to work as part of a team, especially to lead a team. The hiring process for this job may include a test before hiring. You should know about the rules and policies of the facilities. You should be aware of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. You should also know about hygiene practices, storage requirements, and equipment needs.
DUTIES: You will be in charge of the work done by the cleaners.
You will create cleaning schedules and assign tasks to cleaners. You will provide and manage cleaning supplies. You will keep track of and maintain cleaning materials and tools. You will order and distribute cleaning supplies. You will prepare and send reports. You will suggest and implement changes to cleaning methods. You will make sure the campus stays clean. You will meet with the cleaning team regularly.
