AVBOB Mutual Assurance Society is inviting unemployed South African youth to apply for the Long Term Insurance Unemployed Learnership Programme (Financial Associates) 2026.

The learnership will take place in Malamulele, Limpopo (Northern Region).

Qualification: Long Term Insurance – NQF Level 4 (140 Credits)
AVBOB, along with the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA), is offering a 12-month learnership programme designed to develop young professionals in the long–term insurance sector.
Programme Overview
This learnership includes:
– Accredited theoretical training from an approved training provider
– Practical work experience at AVBOB branches
– Structured work–based learning
– A registered qualification upon successful completion
This programme is perfect for unemployed youth who want to start a career in insurance and financial services.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following:
– Be a South African citizen
– Be between 18 and 35 years old
– Have a valid Matric certificate
– Have passed English and either Mathematics, Maths Literacy, or Accounting
– Have not attended any previous learnerships
– Not be registered with any academic institution or currently studying
– Have reliable transport
– Be willing to work in AVBOB offices in the Northern Region

– Possession of a smartphone or laptop
– Computer skills (MS Office, email, internet)
– Good communication skills
– Ability to work independently and show initiative
Stipend and Conditions
– A monthly stipend will be provided throughout the 12-month programme
– Placement will be decided by the company
– Preference will be given to qualified individuals from previously disadvantaged groups
