Salary: R325,101 – R382,959 per annum (Level 07)

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with 3-5 years’ experience in the revenue sector/environment OR
  • Post-Matric qualification in Financial Management, Accounting, or Economics
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and show initiative
  • Planning and administrative expertise
  • Demonstrate technical competencies at Level 7-8 in Revenue Management as per the Competency Framework for Financial Management (CFFM), including knowledge of:
    • Public Finance Management Act, 1999
    • National Road Traffic Act, 1996 and Regulations
    • National Treasury Regulations
    • Departmental policies/procedures/delegations
  • Supervisory skills for revenue policy compliance, revenue collection, recording, reconciliation, banking interfaces management, and safeguarding of cash/source documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis, dashboard creation, and financial reconciliations
  • Strong ethical standards, accountability, initiative, and stewardship in revenue handling
  • No criminal record
  • Valid Driver’s License

Duties:

  • Supervise subordinates and cashier activities at provincial motor vehicle license renewal sites
  • Verify daily control and face value count sheets of registering authorities
  • Perform queries on the National Traffic Information System (NaTIS)
  • Handle general and NaTIS-related client enquiries
  • Verify and reconcile collected revenue
  • Monitor clearing of bank adjustment suspense accounts
  • Liaise with the Provincial Helpdesk
  • Maintain proper filing systems
  • Interpret the National Road Traffic Act and Regulations
  • Submit regular reports to management
  • Maintain PMDS reports of subordinates
  • Uphold high professional ethics and confidentiality standards
  • Sign contract of confidentiality, Code of Conduct, Disciplinary Code, and NaTIS Undertaking
