About the Wealth Management Learnership

During the programme, learners will have an opportunity to develop knowledge and practical skills in different financial services processes. These may include client servicing, claims administration, pre-sale underwriting, life benefits, retirement funds, funeral policies and new business processes.

The learnership is designed to help participants understand how the financial services industry operates while developing the professional skills needed to grow within the sector. Learners will also gain experience working with colleagues, supporting customers and managing workplace responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to complete the NC: Wealth Management NQF Level 5 learnership programme and all required coursework.

Learners will gain practical experience across key areas of the Wealth Management function and may assist with client servicing activities and customer enquiries. They will also develop an understanding of financial products and services, including life benefits, retirement funds and funeral policies.

Other responsibilities may include assisting with the administration of claims and underwriting processes, maintaining accurate records and ensuring that information is processed correctly. Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have completed Grade 12.

The following minimum school results are required:

  • Mathematics: Minimum Level 4 (50%)
  • English: Minimum Level 4 (50%)
  • Mathematical Literacy: Minimum Level 5 (60%)
  • Second Language: Minimum Level 4 (50%)

An incomplete tertiary qualification in a financial-related field will be considered advantageous.

Applicants must also have effective written and verbal English communication skills. Basic computer knowledge is required, particularly experience or familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
